I've been to Lahinch before and love it but haven't eaten out except in the pub. This time I'll be with a group of friends and on one evening we'd like to have a more formal meal, get a bit dressed up etc. Any recommendations? Thanks very much

Hi. Not in Lahinch, but (http://www.irelands-blue-book.ie/gregans.htm) will be special.
Danny Macs is fine - but too informal, and The Atlantic Hotel is reliable - there is a nice seafood restaurant, but can't think of it's name at the mo.

Hi Ferdia and thanks for your reply. I've been doing a bit of surfing and the seaford place may be Barrtra http://www.barrtra.com/ which seems to have universally good reviews. They do a veggie option too which we'll need. We're there for 3 nights in all so might take up your Danny Macs tip for one of the other nights.
As this site has been so helpful I'll do a review when I come back. Thanks again.
If you are in the area Holywell Italian Cafe in the neighbouring town of Ennistymon might be worth checking out during the day for lunch.
Thanks for the info. We will be spending two nights in Lahinch and wonder where we should go for dinner. To tweak the question above, we don't really care about dressing up, we just want a good meal, preferably seafood. We would like to avoid spending a ton of money, but do so if the meal is worth it.
