Hi all,

Only 7 sleeps to go!!

I want to know your opinions - is it best to prebook meals before we leave or can it be done when we get there? If so - what's the best way to go about it?

One meal we definately don't want to miss is the one with the princes and princesses.

Thanks.

We prebooked our meal in the morning at our hotel.

One time we forgotten to do that, and ended up late in the restaurant at Hotel New York, it was the only place left when we not had prebooked.

This was the winterholiday.

So I would defently prebook Auberge de cenderillon

before leaving.

Sit by the fireplace/dancefloor.

the prices at some of the restaurants to eat with the characters are ridiculous, especially as characters are around the park all day long - i know its menat to eb a magic time for children but you do get the impression of spoilt children having tantrums if parents wont pay for them to eat with the characters !

Its not just our daughter who wants to do these meals it's us to - I know it's expensive but we think it's worth it to see the enjoyment of the children and it is a very special holiday - as for being spoilt and having tantrums - this is not something we have a problem with - My daughter has never had such a tantrum - as for being "spoilt" - yes she is priviledged but we NEVER let her take it for granted.

Lucky You, I dont find the restaurant prices more expensive than a restaurant in other places.

Food prices going up, up, up

So why shouldn´t the prices at the restaurant go up too.

For spoiled children, I don´t think so.

My children are not spoiled.

So when we are in holiday I will give them what they don´t get the rest of the year.

And Its a treat for the hole family, not just for the children.

As a parent to see the light and smile on the childrens faces when the Caracters come to the table, makes my heart smile.

And for the princesses and princ , and cinderellas mouse when they got to dance with them.

I can tell You that my girls loved it and play around it still thinking about it.

Hi I agree - this is a special holiday and I want my children to remember it as one of the best holidays (so far anyway). And I also agree with Northumberland Lady, I also want to dine with the charactors - it's going to be such good fun (I'm still exctied) I just can't wait to see my little ones face light up.

I have a friend that went to Orlando last year (they loved it) and I'd researched into going there too and knew of all the fun things to do etc and when I ask if they'd done these things they said they couldn't afford it. It is expensive to go to Disney but you've to make the most of what's on offer there otherwise what is the point??

I know Gownlady - but this does NOT mean that our children are spoilt or have tantrums - I think a bit of sour grapes there don't you?

Not long!!!

No true - my children are not spoilt either they both have been made to save for spening money for this holiday by doing chores (think they've managed about £65 so far!!) but I will admit the little one does have his moments - it's just his personality (think he gets this from me lol).

no - think maybe come across wrong way - wasn't sour grapes atall - just made comment that the meals WITH characters are very high prices - makes you realise what money spinning business disney is - if you cant see that youre very naive for an adult
