Access smile dental clinic in Hungary

Has anyone used this clinic and can they give a detailed account of the work done and whether it was worth it. Have you had any trouble since your return

I live in Dubin, Ireland.

Is it worth the trouble or would I be better to pay up front and have the work done at home?

Heya, I'm in Ireland, but I haven't done dentistry in Budapest. So I'm not much help.

I am however kinda curious about it. The cost of dental work is phenomenal in Ireland.

Maybe try boards.ie? There you'll find more Irish people hopefully with more experience. I read some of the places have offices in Dublin? So you get some kind of pre-trip check and post-trip service?

Suggest you search the forum for 'dentist', it is a common enough subject.

Bear in mind that if things go wrong suing someone from 2,000 kilometres away and in a completely incomprehensible (to you) language is not easy.

Hi Lala My wife had 8 implants done yesterday on her third visit to Prime Detal in Budapest. on prevoius visits we stayed at Corinthia and New York palace hotels which are really first clas and in relative terms great value. This 10 day stay we are in a flat which is central, spacious with all mod cons includong wi fi and air conditioning sleeps 4 and is owned by the company,s travel manager all for 6ö eoro a day. I got the reference by reading Sunday Times article last year called "Incisor Trading" google it up its all about a patient from ireland. My wife had bone augmentation in January and has great confidence in her Hungarian dentist Adam who incidentaly speaks superb idiomatic English. This i pretty heavy duty dentistry nearly four hours in the chair yésterday. Full explanation is given as to what is being done and what to expect in the way of discomfort and swelling. After a good nights sleep she was out and about for 3 hours at lunch nowresting after a jacuzzi I told you the flat had all mod cons.

going to Vienna Fri. sat back to Budapest for Wine festival, red Bull Air race on the Danube, stitches removed Tuesday home WEd. Budapest is lovely a bit like Prague before spoiled by Stag do's a bit like Dublin. I had to leave my wife last time for 2 days she simply went to the opera and the Thermal baths and had a great time. The dentist Adam is the business and whereelse would your dentist give you his mobile no with instructions to call at any time !

The equipment is state of the art our own dentist in Scotland is still using Wilhelm Rontgen's X ray machine.

I presume that dental costs in Eire are as high if not higher than Scotland . My wife's estimate in Scotland was around 24 grand here with an extra implant extraction less than half even allowing for the pound falling.

I am a lawyer and i don'T anticipate suing anyone.

Hello

My husband and I had huge work done, I had 5 root canals and approx. 16 crowns and artificial bone implant in my gum for implants (my gum was too weak) all in one day.... it is incredible what they can do.. Gabrielle did the teeth and a specialist did the gum op. They freeze your mouth and you feel nothing except some pulling and pushing. Afterwards they gave us pain killers and we took them every 4 hours... we were sore during the night for a few nights but only to be expected, couldnt eat a great amount, but get one tooth done here and you feel it the next day.. We got a self catering apt. for the 9 days (for crowns you have to wait a week, they put in the temp and a week later you get the permanent)... ownersdirect.co.uk budapest..brilliant site.. we are going back in November, We are staying at apt. H34 on this site and its owned by an irish man.We stayed at Kalvin Apts first time... all one room, extremely clean with everything you could want and cvery central, lovely old hungarian apartment building. You will get a discount if your over 50 and also for dentistry. I think they are incredible dentists and I have full faith in them, I was extremely nervous before we went. We had a lovely week inbetween, I would advise getting work done between April and August as it is quite cold in the winter...I hope this is of help.. Gabrielle comes here every 2/3 week and if you contact the site they will send you to Annes Street to get an xray and then you bring it to Gabrielle and she will compute all the work you need doing and its up to you what you get done.. They collect you at the airport and leave you back... There is no way we could afford this work here and the time it takes is crazy..

Prices.. eg. root canal here 400/700 euro

there approx. 90/180

dependng on how many roots in the tooth

ceramic crowns here 800/1,000

there 269

I cannot speak highly enough of them.. not a bit nervous going back, hope this is of help, any further info. you can contact again

Regards

I went to budapest in aug this year, I had 10 veeners to the top and extensive root canal treatment and bridge work on the lower teeth total cost £4000. I decided to go abroad due to the cost of the work over here id been quoted over £10,000.

I was quite worried after reading reviews about going abroad, I had absolutly nothing to worry about. I searched the internet day and night looking for a suitable dentist. I found access smile and I cannot say a bad word about them. I have never recieved such a professional service from anyone. My whole stay was taken care of,they can arange your accomodation and assist with your every need. I was collected from the airport, picked up and collected for each course of treatment, i was also provided with a mobile phone to use during my stay. I stay for a week and my treatment was staggered over 3 days. I have to say I am petrified of dentists but ive never felt so at ease, the staff are so friendly and nothing is a problem. I would honestly recommend this to everyone, I met alot of other patients from the uk who were also having treatment done and it was very reassuring seeing there end result (amazing). This is definatly the way forward if your looking for affordable dentistry with a 5 star service.
