Hello,

Myself and my fiancée are planning on getting married in Kaunas/Trakai next year and are currently looking for a suitable venue in that area. I was hoping that someone may be able to help us with some idea's and recommendations to have our wedding.

Also alot of postings in the past varied the cost of a wedding in Lithuania and we would like to get an idea of the cost of a wedding this year (with all the bells and whistles) and any knowledge that may exist on the variations

I cannot advise on any suitable venues in Kaunas or Trakai i'm afraid but can suggest lots of places in and around Vilnius if you would consider getting married there?

My fiancée and I will be getting married in Vilnius next weekend so we have done lots of research!

Trakai is easy to reach from Vilnius so we will be going there in the afternoon (inbetween the church and evening reception) for the traditional photos, games, drinks etc.

To give you an idea of cost, the following is what we are paying for the main bits:

Evening reception (4* hotel in Vilnius Centre) - 100LT per person

Drinks at reception - 45LT per bottle of wine

Photographer (for 7 hours) = 1,200LT

Coach to Trakai for 50 people = 800LT

DJ (for 5 hours) = 800LT

Wedding Car (for 6 hours) = 480LT

Cake = 240LT

Very interested to know what you have managed to research. Could I aak you to post any links (and thoughts) on the venues you've looked at to help us avoid unsuitable locations.

Also, would you have available the DJ and car hire people ?

Hi,

I would be more than happy to give you some advice on the research we did and the suppliers we used.

We are flying out to Vilnius tomorrow morning so i'll post a reply when we return and give you the details of the venues, DJ, car etc and a review of what we thought of them.
