I'm also visiting Vilnius at the end of November start of December and I've spent a bit of time researching the city on the net. Take a look at In Your Pocket Vilnius, gives plenty of tips for everything in Vilnius. For more info look here:
Whatever you do don't miss the Cili Kaimus restaurant. You can have choice of several menus for some reason. One in English. Traditional food. Atmosphere you can't beat. Met in lobby with traditional wagon, hay, maybe a chicken or two. Don't miss it. ON the main street just ask...
Vilnius has been a favorite place for us. So much to see.Don't miss Trakai Castle. Your hotel will arrange for your day trip out there on a mini bus.
We stayed at the Convent Domus Maria.Very nice place and quiet. Good breakfast buffet.

Hello, For Italian Meal i would suggest restaurant Sorrento - sorrentorestoranas.lt/en/ Its not far from Vilnius Old town, so you can reach it walking. Traditional food you will find in Cili Kaimas or Forto Dvaras restaurants in Old town. I personally don’t like food there, but atmosphere is really nice and traditional. For better food I can suggest traditional food restaurant Lokys in Stikliu street. Best wishes. P.S. if you would like city tour, please contact me by email btours@gmail.com
Thanks Druskininkai for Information have looked at both menus for Sorrento and Lokys and are exactly what we were looking for.
Thanks

There's a nice Italian restaurant in Pilies street (in the Old Town, easy to find - near the Cathedral Square) - Da Antonio. Good choice of wine, main courses and desserts. Could be a bit pricey for Lithuania, but you would definitely not pay more than 100-120 euro for a charming dinner for two.
for Italian food I would realy recomend Da Antonio at Viliaus str., sorrento;
Cili Kaimas - no way - something like fast food, or a food cooked for open air market visitors... in this style is better "Marceliukes kletis" (good prices, location so-so, not the best), but there You have at least more real things; "Lokys", "zemaiciai" are realy good - will not disapoint with service and good meal... prices are high; not the best ambiente, but food like "made by mama on sunday", a bit in style of 1930-40 - is "Laikinoji sostine" - good view.
Thanks Taigiva
Have reserved a table for Da Antonio still undecided on others.

laikinoji sostine?
whoa THAT's a great name for a lith restaurant IN vilnius.
someone's got a fantastic sense of the absurd there.
i'd go there JUST for the name...
i advise you to check te restaurant reviews on this site, there are many good infos from readers.
truly, depending where u re from, i would not recomend ANY italian restaurant in vilnius, they are overall under the average level of italian restaurants in most countries.
still, if u go for it, if u check the reviews, u will see that Uzupis pica is the most popular and for me it is deserved, it is the most closest from real italian food u can find in vilnius.
about high end level italian, sorento is good place too, unfortunatly very very empty and so not really great atmosphere.
Da antonio, is just really average, i would say if you are used to good italian in other countries, da antonio will be disapoitning for you.
i really hope gwyneth reports back...honestly, i want to hear how she likes what she sees.
and tastes, for that matter.
it's november, so i'll be watching this space.
