Cafe Carambola for Lunch is a must.
Lots of good choices in Coeur d'Alene for both lunch and dinner if price isn't an issue.
If you'd like views, the Resort has a few places -- Dockside (not expensive), and Beverly's (expensive), and very close to the downtown area you have The Beach House which is right on the lake, and also Cedar's Floating Restaurant which is exactly what it sounds like.
Along Sherman Ave. which is the main downtown street, The Wine Cellar is very nice and has a good atmosphere, and also Cricket's.
For lunch, if you want a quick hamburger you could go to Hudson's on Sherman Ave. which has been there forever.
Another restaurant I like quite a bit is Bardenay's which is in Riverstone, a new complex of shops/restaurants and cafe's about a mile north but on the same basic street as the Resort.
If you have any specific types of food you like that list can be narrowed down quite a bit.
Enjoy your stay here in CDA.
I will be visiting Coeur D'Alene over Thanksgiving. Do you have any recommendations for a restaurant that might be serving a special Thanksgiving Day menu?
Hi missouriallie, Scratch is fairly new and has great food make from scratch unlike so many of the restaurants, it's downtown also. Not terribly expensive but not cheap either.
