Zipline Tour - Thank you Donald

Just return from our cruise and our stop in the City of Belize. We took an off-shore excursion to zip lining. We contact Donald Ramirez from zipbelize@yahoo.com. Donald did a great job for our group of 20 (great cost for the package bus, tour and lunch). He was waiting for us at the terminal #1 when we tendered in from our ship. Donald will give you a great history of the Belize area. Donald will accommodate you any way you ask him too. We ask him to put some beer and water on the bus for our excursion and he accommodated us at his cost (even if he forgot the bottle opener). Thanks again Donald and if you looking to the Zip Line in Belize or even cave tubing - Donald Ramirez is your guide. Have a great trip Ted/JulieWisconsin.

My family did the ruins of Altun Ha with this company. Donald was our guide for the day. He was very informative. we all had a great time thanks to Donald and his team.

I emailed Donald a week ago and still no response. Is the email contact that is posted in this forum correct? Unfortunately, I have booked cave tubing with another tour company but would like to possibly book other tours (Mayan ruin or Belize City) thru him. How do I get ahold of him for questions and reservations?

My family was in Belize for 6 days. We made all arrangements through this company. We booked our hotel and all our tours through them. WE did tours of Cave Tubing, zipline, Lamanai, Altun Ha, and a day trip to Dangriga.

Robert was assigned to us as our tour guide. He knows Belize and its history.

Special thinks to Donald who made all arrangements for our vacation in Belize.

Enough already DONALD! Please stop this self promotion! The tactic is wearing very thin!

On the button, 16canuck - Hey Donald, get someone to correct your grammar, present and past tense, adjectives, adverbs, etc., and re-arrange your sentences....we this, we that, we the other. And you must be wearing your fingers down with all those different nom-de-plumes!! It's fun reading your self promotions. You are actually putting people off, man. Cool off a little, brother!! Let the guests do the promoting at all times; they come off better and definately genuine, not bogus.

I agree! How to tell a Donald "nom-de-plumes"? The name he conjurs up will only have 1 post under the profiler's Forum posts. Or maybe 2, if he has some extra time on his hands...the 2 posts will definitely be tied to him and his cohorts. Also, his web page has a "trip advisor" link on it. So, he is linking himself every which way he can.

I have traveled a lot and have booked many hostals/hotels/haciendas online and have never came across any with "trip advisor" attached to their web sites.

Makes you wonder why he does it?

It is getting really, really old.

Stormbird, I will pray for you. It really sounds like you have a problem with Donald. This company is not only about Donald. It is a group of tour guides that came together to form this company. It seems like you have a really bad taste.

We did the Cave Tubing and zipline with Donald and this is my story:

We just returned from a 7 day Western Caribbean cruise on Carnival Glory. I had booked online with actionboysbelize.com and Donald Ramirez two months ago. I had read other posts about his tour company and all were positive. I felt safe booking with him after e-mailing back and forth. Carnival wants you to think booking outside them isn't safe but this isn't always true. Donald was right where he said he'd meet us with a sign with my name at the Belize terminal. There was just me, my husband, and 9 year old daughter in our tour. We had met a single mother with 2 kids on the cruise and they tagged along to see if he had room for 3 more. He made room and off we went. Donald is very knowledgeable about not only Belize but its native plants, customs, animals and just about anything else you could think to ask. He knew everyone and we were always escorted to the front of the line. It was a very fast paced tour but we had no trouble keeping up. I read on a post that the zip line didn't allow kids under 12 but this was not the case. We had 3 and it was very safe. The zip line and cave tubing were amazing , I would highly recommend this tour through actionboysbelize.com We felt very safe with Donald, he pointed out some unsafe practices of other tours which made me glad we went with him. There were 30 or more in other tour groups and just the six of us. He made us feel special and took very good care of us. I hope one day we can return to his beautiful country and do the same thing all over again!!!

I too, want to thank Donald for a great day! We went to Belize City for the day and Donald was our tour director for Ziplining and cave tubing. We made arrangements via the internet/phone. He was exactly where he said he would be with a sign with our name. At all times I felt safe with him! He seems like a real upstanding guy! Our trip to Jaguar Park was about an hour, a bit boring, but when we got to the park it was beautiful! Donald did not zipline with us but he did wait for us where we began. Just after that we headed to the cave tube trails where he made few stops along the way to point out special medicine plants. After about a half hour walk we finally got to the caves and floated through the caves. Donal was with us through that, thank goodness because we would not have know what to do. I would NOT book this tour with the ship. First it costs more, the cruise groups are too large to really enjoy the outing and the good people of Belize should be the people to benefit from the fees charged to do the excursion. Gas costs $10 per gallon, ouch! As a hard-working American, I can feel for these people and you can see how they struggle to survive daily. It made me feel better to give another hard-working local my money for a wonderful day. Thank you Donald, and your cousin too!

I am so ashame of all of you that are stamping on this company. Don't you have some thing positive to do???

We are visitors to Belize wanting to have a great vacation. We don't care about tour companies biting on each others! This sounds like www.actionboysbelize.com is doing so well that other tour companies are trying to crush them! Try some thing else. This is not the way to compete in this world.

www.actionboysbelize.com , continue your great work and God will bless you more.
