Hidden Valley Inn |

I am interested in a trip to Belize and I'm looking at the Hidden Valley Inn and I have a few questions. 1 - How many nights did you stay here and what activities did you enjoy best? 2 - Is this the best part of Belize to enjoy ecotourism or do you have other recommendations? It does look like this place is pricey. 3 - Would it be best to have a car here or let them drive you around? 4 - What other major attractions are there in Belize and what is a good starting point for them? Also do you recommend another hotel in this area where you can still see similar nice scenery and what hotels and tours would they be? Thanks so much in advance. |

Plenty do to in this area, you could easily spend 4 or 5 nights and be busy every day. Caracol Mayan site and scenic spots in the Mtn Pine Ridge, Barton Creek cave canoe or ATM cave, horses, HVI is on 7200 acres in a 100,00 acres reserve and has 90 miles of private hiking and mtn biking trails, 7 private waterfalls, one of which you can rent privately for the day with picnic lunch, horses, fabulous birding. Great staff, mgmt and meals, wonderful choice.

I would say stay at any inland resort for 4-5 nights that way you get to do most of the tours, impossible to do all unless ur staying like a month. You can try a combination of inland and coastline or cays like Ambergris aka san pedor As for the transportation, I would say it depends on what time you arrive into the country and also where you ar going next. If arriving late better have someone drive you. Some of my friends that were there used Mr. Chap, from san Ignacio very reasonable and friendly contact info: elm_m17@hotmail.com Let us know your experience after the trip.
