Iam traveling from tulum to San Ignacio in dec. 09 and would love any information on time it will take thanks Marie
The ADO express bus from Tulum to Chetumal bus terminal is about 3.5 hours.
Change to one of the Belizean buses to get to Belize City. If you can get a Premier express from the ADO terminal, the trip is about 3 hours. If you can't get an express, then you have to go to the Nuevo Mercado and get one of the regular buses; that trip to BC is a bit more than 3 hours.
From the Belize City bus terminal, the westbound Regular buses take about 2 to 2.5 hours to get to San Ignacio.

The ADO buses are the best - you'll never be able to look at a Greyhound bus again. The Nuevo Mercado is around a 10 to 15 minute walk from the ADO terminal in Chetumal. Refer to a guidebook for the exact walking instructions. If you hit the buses right, a little under 10 hours.
