 Sell foreing-resistered car in Morocco

Hi!

We are thinking about ove-way car trip to Morocco: driving to Morocco, get rid of our car there and leave back home on the plane.

I read here that in 2005 cornet was required, but as far as I remember, in 2003 we have crossed the border in Ceuta without essential amount of paperwork.

How easy to sell/throw the old car in Morocco?

That is for sure, but I am more concerned about custom declaration, cornet douane and other stuff.

They have made it very difficult to do what you want to do. The person buying the car will have to pay the customs tax on the vehicle. I tried to sell my 1996 Audi A4 for 2000 euros and the individual who wanted to buy it had to pay 14,000 euros in customs tax. Obviously, he didn't buy it. You can cross the border with just the registration card and proof of insurance. They will enter the car into the computer tied to your entry stamp. When you leave the country, you must have the car with you or proof that you sold it and all taxes were paid. This is a lengthy process that can take months. I think I would forget the idea really.
