Hi
taking a car into morocco can be a real nightmare.
you need to make sure you have correct moroccan insurence
before you leave spain. you also need to get and pay for a carnet
ticket for your car , kinda a bond to insure you will leave
with your car and not sell it in morocco, make sure to exit and get it processed corectly or you may be libel for a good percentage of
what they access your car at , i have some assesed at new prices.
you can get on teh ferry with your car with out the right papers
and will get refused at the port and made to take and pay for a
return trip on the ferry.
safest way to go if not sure is to take your car to algiceras in spain
and take the ferry to ceuta.
there you will land in spain and not have to deal with moroccan
law yet.
you can then make a land crossing ,so if problems you can return to spain ( african spain) and take care of paperwork and then retry border crossing.
it is quite easy if done right.
and do learn the different driving laws here.
and remember that morocco is listed on teh cia web site as one of the 10 most dangerious places to drive.
as some one who drives here all the time i agree.
