Sam is fluent in English and I have arranged 2 trips with Sam - one in March this year to the areas that you wish to see and the other to Mai Hong Son and further south to Tak. Everything was very well organised and consequently flowed very smoothly. He conducts remote trekking trips from 1-6 days and can get you to all the spots that you will want to see.

The trip we did in March was tailored by us (with some suggestions from Sam) and that went from CM (he picked us up at the airport) to Thaton; Chiang Rai; Mae Sae with time to go across to markets in Tathileik, Burma; Chiang Kong and back to CM. This trip included a boat trip down the Kok River from Thaton to CR (which we both enjoyed very much); the white temple (a must see); geysers and hot springs, visits to the Hill tribes and so much more. Accommodation was also very comfortable.

Sam is interested in everything and can even advise on wild plants that are edible and how the Thais use them in cooking!
