Hi!

We are going Kenya in August.

We have Ark lodge -1 night

Lake Nakuru Sopa lodge or Lake Navisha 1 night

And 2 nights in Masai Mara.

What is better Lake Nakuru or Lake Navisha.

I'm booked currently for Lake Nakuru Sopa but was suggested if I want to switch to Lake Navisha.

Please Advice

Thanks

If you want to relax more, Lake Naivasha is nice. I've stayed at the Lake Navasha Sopa a few times and it's nice, bur fairly large so the dining area can be a bit noisy. Often you will see animals such as water bucks, giraffe and hippos near your room. You can take a boat ride on Lake Naivasha for an additional cost and if you do that, I'd recommend doing it in the morning as the water is calmer than in the afternoon.

But if given the choice between the two locations, I'd take Nakuru any day. More wildlife to see in the park - rhinos, lovely giraffes and I've often seen leopard there. I've not stayed at the Sopa in Nakuru, only the Sarova Lion Hill which is nice.

if you want to see wildlife, then stay at Nakuru. You'll see rhinos, giraffes, zebras, wild cats ,etc..

If you want to chill by the lake & perhaps take a boat ride to see hippos then goto to Naivasha.

There is a Ol Karia Hot Water SPA in Naivasha - awesome spot to relax & unwind.

I would also go for Lake Nakuru for more wildlife. But if you want something like hiking, biking and boat riding then Lake Naivasha can be the option.

Yes that sound great, since August is busy month you will be the car plus drive with price of usd 140 per day full package including Transport, Gas, Driver allowance and Entry fees to the park, I suggest Naivasha Sopa sound interesting with more attractions to take, you can stay Naivasha Sopa and take a day trip to Lake Nakuru.

Thank you so much, enjoy and have fun when time come.
