Hi,
Are there places in Cuenca where older people who speak English get together? I would like to find people to talk to while I am there as I will be traveling alone. (I am not asking about singles bars.)
Thanks so much!

I will suggest places like "El Cafecito", Wonder Bar and Cafe Austria. Regards.
We were just there and found Cafe Eucalyptus to have alot of English speaking people.
Have a good trip
I forgot about Eucalyptus Cafe, it is really nice. They have food from 180 countries around the world. Regards to all.
If anyone suggests Carolina's Bookstore, don't bother going there. Everywhere we went in Ecuador we were greeted with a buenos dias, buenos tardes or hola, except Carolina's. We went there purposely to speak with the owner because we knew she was from North Carolina. We entered the store and got absolutely no response from anyone in the shop (many English speaking people), not a hello, nod or acknowlegement that we were even there. It was a disappointment that the only place where we were treated rudely was the place owned by Americans.
