Where to buy antiques/vintage in Belgrad?

I've read here that market in Zemun is open only on Sundays.

In my Tomas Cook guide is mentioned:

1) Flea market Bajlonova at the and of Skadarska street

2) book market at Kalenic.

I am interested in old maps, 1910-1920's telephone, bronze and china (porcelain).

Travelling 4-7 of November.

Appreciate any advises and links.

Хвала!

Also at night, you can see some interesting bronze pieces on Skadarska itself. It's a bit of a 'tourist trap' in that it has national restaurants, musicians and draws visitors but you'll see a few stands that might be of interest. The restaurants are actually ok and a good night out for visitors to experience, so you could do a bit of browsing before you eat.

If you like medals and military memorabilia and coins, there are also evening stands on Kalemegden. You have to weed through the 'tat' but some treasure can be found. That's only 10min walk from Skadarska and another place you are bound to visit anyway.

I thought Zemun markets were open more than just Sunday, but I'm not sure it's a big market and very good, worth checking out Zemun for a walk anyway and see, go in the morning..

For china Blok 70 in new Belgrade, and another flea market at OTC New Belgrade.

As mentioned in your guide, usually those two or three markets have stands with some antiques. Sometimes over weekend in hotel Slavija there is an antique market, but mostly having old jewellery. I never visited so am not sure if they have what you are looking for.

thank you and Stoofer very much for such a quick answer!

I will flight from Belgrad at 13.30 on Saturday, so I will have only opportunity to visit 1 place Saturday morning.

I go as a tourist and will definitely visit Kalemegden and Zemun and other sights.

Antiques is an extra benefit because its my hobby. I will check out Skadarska and Kalinic and Zemun and decide which place to visit early Saturday morning.

What about antiqe shops? Is there any street or area full of them? I suppose shops on Knez Mishajl may be expensive.

I think there are sights in Belgrade for 1 evening and 2 full days and will not go to Novi Sad or elsewhere.

Hi Danil

There are a couple on Knez Mihailova, also close by around studentski trg & Plato. IMO the prices are not artificially inflated in this street, you are just as likely to find prices the same elsewhere in back streets. A couple of hours browsing around Old Belgrade should be interesting and you'll probably find something of interest. Also art, and again in Skardska. Try and stay in Old Centre.

if you go to see temple of St. Sava (Hram Svetog Save) behind it ,in small street heading down there are couple of antique shops. Check that out, also.

If you are wondering where to by souvenirs, the best place is entrence to Kalemegdan fortress from Knez Mihailova street, but if you are want to by the souvenirs on-line visit site serbia-hotel.org/Shopping-Stores-Serbia.html
