Hello how convenience is it to park a car in Atlantic city to get to the boardwalk? Do we have to park in the parking lot?
You do not need to park in a parking lot, there is street meters by the Boardwalk on most streets without casinos on them. Your best bet [tee~hee, I typed 'bet' on the AC forum again] is parking in a casino garage, as they charge an in&out fee only, you are not charged by time ←this is true only of casino garages, there is other parking lots & at least one garage, these do charge based on time. I have more to type [big surprise], I'll type more soon ~ or another poster will beat me to it
I thought you posted on the Philly forum that you're staying at Taj? I cannot find it. So. 3 casino garages charge on the way in: Showboat, Resorts & Trump Plaza [if I just typed an error, someone correct me] If you don't have a gaming card from one of these casinos, I suggest you park in one that you pay on the way out, sign up for a casino card inside and present it on the way out for reduced parking. With their casino card, your fee will likely be $5.
Ask for a receipt when paying and the receipt will be good for free parking at another casino by 'paying' before 5:59am at another casino garage... there is rules. Note: Their days run from 6am to 5:59am. So that receipt has to be redeemed before 5:59am→ this may be a good time to seek out a casino garage you pay on the way in
If you plan on gambling a bit, Showboat comps your parking for a relatively small amount of tier points. 25 tier points ($250 on video poker or $125 on slots) will get you free parking.
Tropicana also offers reduced priced parking if you see a movie at their IMAX theater (which is, honestly, the highlight of Atlantic City for me). Or if you get 5 tier points in their casino, it's free.
Bally's is $5 with Total Rewards card and is probably your best bet since it's centrally located.
Golden Nugget is free until the end of the month if you want to park your car in the Marina, take the jitney to the Boardwalk, and forget about it.
Edited: 9 years agoThey're starting a new Boardwalk tramcar http://www.tripadvisor.com/ShowTopic-g29750-i78-k7373502-Boardwalk_Jitney_Tram_to_begin_it_s_trial_run-Atlantic_City_New_Jersey.html it's FREE until 4/26/2014 & then $3 fare afterwards. This may be a jitney alternate, if y'all don't mind moving at the breakneck speed of 4MPH on the Boardwalk
Ah is that jitney that will take us from the nugget parking then? It drops us at the boardwalk or it rides along the boardwalk if we choose not to get off? We won't be gambling so probably won't get cheap parking at the casinos.
Edited: 9 years agoYou do not need to gamble to get cheap parking in a casino parking lot. You will need a gaming card from the casino of the garage to get cheap parking.
If you choose to park at Golden Nugget, which is in the marina district, you'll need to catch jitneys to&from the Boardwalk. Jitneys are little privately owned buses that seat 13ppl & have assigned routes in AC, not the new tramcar on the Boardwalk, These jitneys are $2.25 fare. So. If y'all = 2ppl, the total fare to&from the Boardwalk will be $9. $9 is more than >>I suggest you park in one that you pay on the way out, sign up for a casino card inside and present it on the way out for reduced parking. With their casino card, your fee will likely be $5<< And adding to ↑this, choose a casino garage at a Boardwalk casino.
As mentioned above, Parking in Atlantic City Casino garages, is very easy, and should cost you no more than $5.00 per visit. I would also recommend Ballys for it's central location on the boardwalk, you pay on the way out, so you can get a FREE Total Rewards Players Card during your visit to show on your way out! Enjoy A.C.!
Good point. I'm usually travelling on the jitney solo so I didn't even think about the x2.
hi all, so if I sign up for Bally's game card, is it free? I am thinking of doing that one since everyone is saying that's on the boardwalk. What about the Taj one?
Player cards are free at all the casinos. Yes, Bally’s and Taj are on the Boardwalk. Looking at a map may help:
