Just been reading on the HCI website that visa applications are to be outsourced from later this month. Proposals look better than last years fiasco. Let's hope it works this time.

Lets's hope it is better than last year - it couldn't get much flaming worse! I quite like the idea of online application/payment and online tracking. And £6.90 extra is a damn sight better than the extortionate rates the agencies were charging last season! If it works, it could be good.

doesn't seem to be much interest in this post at the moment.

looks ok co's you can apply on line as well as by post. its going to cost more because of the £6-90 + vat, but that should be offset if you apply on line by the no postage and poundage for the postal orders.

s said previuosly, lets hope its not like last years fiasco!!!

having looked at it again, not sure if i,ve read it correctly. can't see how you can apply by post if you've got to send your passport.

as always, anything the HCI does confuses me.

perhaps someone less dim than i am at the moment can throw some light on this!!

the notice is on the hci website entitled "VISA ADVISORY NOTICE"

Bob - Hopefully all will be made clear once the vfsglobal UK website is up and running. At least this is a step in the right direction!

We got our visa in Huddersfield in February, the staff from the Birmingham consulate did out-surgeries on Saturdays in other towns, I think it cost a bit more BUT you had to pay be postal order - haven't seen one of those for years!
