 Goa 2012 - All Inclusive or B&B

Hi All,

We're planning to visit Goa in April 2012. We were initially planning to go all inclusive but we have since been told that it isn't really worth it due to how cheap everything is anyway (local restaurants / bars etc...)

What are peoples thoughts on this and is April a good time to visit?

Thanks

Freddie

Definitely go B&B! There are so many good restaurants you'll be spoilt for choice!

April is at the very end ot the Goan package holiday season and although a bit humid, should be ok.

B&B without a doubt, lots of great, cheap restaurants. April will be hot and humid, you will need A/C.

Oh deffo B&B otherwise you will miss out on so much of the fab food on offer in Goa - oh and yes it's very cheap to eat out too.

Also I've found people both locals & tourists so friendly I normally end chatting away to people in the bars & restaurants and over the years have made lots of good friends - which I think although you would meet some people staying AI you'd miss out on more experiences if you were to be hotel based.

Also April is humid although I don't mind it, and I don't think it's as busy either.

Enjoy

I agree with the others & go b&b every time.

Can't comment on April as I've only ever been between end of November & mid February. I'm not keen on high humidity & think April would be too hot for me, plus I prefer to go in the middle of winter to escape the worst of the UK weather.

Surely it depends on the costs

We've booked Whispering Palms, Candolim for 3 weeks next Feb/March.

Total extra compared to b & b at the Sunset Beach which is opposite the WP is under £200 for the 2 of us.

Ok I'm biased & love the WP,but sure as hell we can do £200 worth of booze in 3 weeks. even at Goa prices!

Well, it's not just the money for me, it's the quality of the food as well, and I've found almost without exception that food is better outside the hotels. There are so many good restaurants around these days, I can't understand why you'd want to eat in the same place every night for two weeks!
