The slow pace of life

The tuk tuks ( cant get through the holiday without a ride/s )

The smells even the beep beep of the taxis

Got to love it just thinking of Goa brings a lovely warm feeling inside of me - last year we said we would try somewhere new but we succombed to Goa yet again. its magical - im sure you will love it and may even end up being bitten by the Goa bug.

Thank you very much for your post, four of us are going to candolim in March for our first visit to goa, before christmas everything on the forum sounded exciting and fun, so we booked a holiday for my wife's 40th, since booking it sounds like it's all gone down hill.

Like you i read the forum every day and am so giddy it's not true,

let's read positives at least till we get on the plane.

I think you will realise by the replies you have had so far, no one will be able to tell you what that ONE thing is that makes Goa so special...

Everything thats been mentioned so far,the people, the weather, the smells, the cows, the trafiic, the hustle n bustle,beach sellers, beach shacks, the quite beaches,the food, the 1 star hotels, the buses, the Indian railway.the red dust.....the list goes on and on.

I haven't even mentioned the flora and fauna..

Have a great holiday & I look forward to hearing about the one thing that you think makes Goa special, once you get back!

Finally i see you come from leicester too, and we have a large indian population and streets of indian shops, it is nothing like that,, the people are different its amazing, you will love it, i envy you seeing it all for the first time its a fabulous experience

You'll have a great time in Cavelossim street, enjoying that wonderful food with the lovely, friendly people on the beautiful beach in the gorgeous SUNSHINE :-)

Delicious Seafood

Deserted as well as Busy Beaches

And the best thing for me is, sitting in a road side cafe, sipping fresh ginger tea and just watch the world go by.
