Take a trip out of Goa

For those of you whove been coming to Goa for the last few years

you could easily use the dry days as a good excuse to jump on a train and take a look at what else there is around

for instance just 1 hour away from Goa theres Karwar

see how clean the place is compared to Goa and also how the roads look like roads instead of dirt tracks endless empty beaches

loads of good hotels and restaurants and bars

just from there you have Gokarna jump on a boat or walk down to some of the best beaches india has to offer kudle beach om beach paradise bech to name just a few all with beach shacks selling your perfect drink many beach huts also

a little further on is murdeshwar a holy place but a great little town

to spend a day or 2 theres so many places to vistit for a few days

im sure you can still stay wet and enjoy a little more of what India has to offer

Do you know what - we may just do that!!! Good excuse to get out and about - is south goa as strict as north goa? We were thinking of visiting SAMs shack and greenlands near allila diwa while we staying in candolim - perhaps it would be a good time to go south? What do you think?

Destination Expert   What's this?
for Calangute

Hi mickfinney

The place with the lake not too far from Mapusa would probably be Sawantwadi.
