We are visiting Candolim next April. We would love to visit the Taj,or even do the golden triangle tour. Does anyone know if we will be able to book this in Candolim, does First Choice offer this in resort. I know from experience that these trips are often a lot cheaper when booked in the resort. Also any idea how much I am likely to pay ?

Any advice would be much appreciated.

you can book locally to go to the taj with "daytrippers" cost varies from about £400 - £600 per person depending on the accomadation you chose. www.daytrippergoa.com

We included the Golden Triangle tour of Mon-Friday as part of a three week holiday to Goa 3/4 years ago and the cost was about £500 each.We stayed at great hotels and we were part of a group of 6. We compared the cost with some friends who had booked when they got to Goa and they ended up paying about the same but the accomodation was a bit rough so try and check that out before you book.

Book the flights and hotels yourself. Use these portals to locate and book flights. You can find a lot more information in the Agra and Delhi forums too.

Hi Bob, if you are looking around New Year time then the flights may well be full, things ease off around 5th Jan. In my experience scheduled flights tend to become available around 11 months in advance.

I have found www.cleartrip.com to be good.

Hi Bob,

KatieP is correct, I think you are trying to book too early. I think the minimum is 11 months, on some sectors even much later. I'm having trouble trying to book a flight for December on ezeego1.

we did the golden triangle trip off our own backs and cost around 150 pounds each and not that difficult to arrange.we booked a return flight from goa to delhi with spice jet for 75 pounds the flight was 2 and a half hrs.we then booked all our train tickets on line each leg of the journey was around 4 pounds.you just print your tickets off.first we got a train from delhi to agra and stayed overnite at sheela hotel 5 mins walk to tai mahal.room cost around 6 pounds.visit the tai mahal around 6.30am as by 8am the beauty as gone.costs roughly 10 pounds in the tai mahal, spend half a day in agra not much to do then get the afternoon train to jaipur which takes 5hrs,by the way train from delhi to agra is 2 and a half, spend 2 nights at jaipur we stayed at the palace cost around 12 pounds a night for the room, then early in the mornin after the 2 nights at jaipur got the 5.30am train to delhi there by 11.30am and spent the night in delhi where rooms around 20 pounds.

Many thanks for all your replies. Did not really want to spend between 400-600 pounds on top of the cost of our holiday. Will check out all your advice.

Cheers
