We need a bit of organizational help for a one-day Hill Country trip. Four of us younger retirees have that one day to depart from and return to Austin. I'm afraid we are trying to do too much in that span if we go south to San Marcos (Tap Room for an early lunch or late breakfast), head to Wimberley and take the Devil's Backbone to Blanco, and wind up in Fredericksburg for late lunch and stroll through the town. (Good place to dine there?) Afterwards, the plan is to cruise through Stonewall, Johnson City (for a historical stop?), and then Dripping Springs back to Austin and Salt Lick for BBQ. Is this feasible or exhausting? Any other suggestions for stops or whatever? Thanks so much for your help! Oh, we have visited San Antonio before so we don't need to go that far, plus we are departing Austin the next day to head south to Padre.
