Well, have you consider coming to Yap Island to get your tan? Yap is beautiful too. Come to Yap and swim in the clear blue water and that will definetely gives you a great tan. I know...I am from there. Yap is almost in the high 80s most days. Anytime of the year is perfect, though, we have rainy season, but it does not rain all the time. Come to Yap and see our beautiful island. It is awesome...very clean and very beautiful. Make sure you ask the locals for fresh taro, fish and sweet coconut to drink. You would think you are in Paradise....it is really paradise before you get to heaven.

Dear Sharky, Pohnpei is one of the places of the globe that gets the MOST rain. They basically have two seasons, one when it rains and another when it rains even more. You will get rain mostly every day. I have had the luck of seeing the sun for 5 unbroken days but that is rather unusual and that was in april. You will however tan anyway since the sun is fierce even when there are clouds, and generally You do get sun every day, between the showers.
