I'd like to take my elderly father to Mendocino for a short stay in mid June. We're on a pretty tight budget (can't afford the Little River Inn where he used to like to stay). Can someone recommend a few affordable hotels in town that would be suitable? He can't climb a lot of stairs or walk long distances. Thanks.

BFun -

There are many places to stay that could accommodate you. If you want a B&B, try Dennen's Victorian Farmhouse in Little River, Joshua Grindle in Mendocino, Whitegate in Mendocino, Blackberry Inn outside of Mendocino. There are many others. I would suggest going to www.gomendo.com. You can also stay in Fort Bragg - many places to stay, less expensive and can accommodate your father.

We booked at Abigail's (associated with Whitegate). This was the best match for all our considerations. Thanks for your suggestions!
