Thanks for the feedback Derpro. Key West was absolutely the original plan - we've been there and love it! However, the weekend we are going happens to coincide with PrideFest, as a result all the hotel rooms are booked solid or prices out of reach. Also as being hetero would not really feel like part of the fun, an irony I'm sure not lost on our gay members! So we're looking at Islamorada. We aren't college students: the days of police calls and booty calls are long gone (sigh) but nor do we want to be shushed after ten oclock! What do you think?

Islamorada is great! No, you won't be shushed in at 10.

Is Cheeca Lodge in your budget? Has a small beach, nice pool, restaurants etc across the street...

Holiday Isle is ok. It's mostly a tourist crowd there.

Just stayed at Holiday Isle for the weekend. Very expensive dump!

Quite run down.

Cleanliness is below my expectation.

All room keys expire at 11 am every day regardless of the length of stay. You have to renew your key at the front desk every day.

The Sportfish Grill has mediocre, slow service.

The beach is unremarkable.

Only stayed because I was with a group.

true the Islander--it has a nice pool-is on the atlantic-has a bar on site- also the Lorelie is across the street- many other bars just one way or the other way on USA1- If you can't go to KeyWest then go to Islamorada.

We were in Key West last year during pridefest and to be honest, we could not tell it at all. We also did not experience any rate hikes. We stayed at a B&B for about 150/night. I am probably not much help but I didn't want you to discount KW completely because of pridefest because it seems that KW is the best spot for what you want to do :-) From what I've read, it does not sound like any of the other keys offer the night life that I envision for a bachelorette weekend like KW does.

OK disregard my post above, I missed the part where all the cheaper rooms have been booked up in KW. I am sure you will have a blast no matter where you go!

Hampton Inn is a good place to stay, nice rooms and fairly close to nightlife.
