My wife and I are interested in traveling to Captiva Island for the first two weeks in November. What is the weather geerally like then and is the water still warm enough to swim in?

Weather should be great. 80's or so. Its still quite warm in early November and humidity is way down. Water temp could still be in the low 80's too but will more likely be upper 70's, but definitely still warm enough to swim.

My all time favorite part of the year for visiting Sanibel and Captiva is mid-Oct to Mid-Nov. Cool nights, lower humidity, fewer people but everything is up and running for the start of the season, shelling starts getting better, and the stone crab season is open. :-) Winning combination.

I got married on Captiva in mid-November of last year. The weather was perfect! The water was a bit chilly, but we are from Chicago, so it was warm enough for us. Maybe we will see you there this November, as we are returning for our anniversary.
