It has been brought to my attention that I may have been biased in limiting my "Defining Moments" thread to Disney ones.

So, in the spirit of fairness...

Was there a special moment during your visit(s) to Universal that you would classify as a "Defining Moment".

Maybe when you saw Spiderman for the first time...

Or was it that first taste of Green Eggs and Ham...

So, fellow TA Addicts, here's your chance to share your "Defining Universal Moments"!!

Hey cinders

What a great idea for a thread!.

Has to be that moment on Jurassic Park when you think the T-Rex is going to eat you and then theres that big drop.

And my boys meeting SpongeBob.

Well as I didn't add to the Disney post (I don't think), I will add to this one.

It would have to be seeing Scooby Doo and leaving hubby and two boys standing while I ran to Scooby (shouting his name very loud much to DH and DS's embarrassment) just so I could give him a cuddle.

Leave the rest to your immagination.

It would have to be meeting donkey after the shrek show. He spoke to us for a few minutes and we got a few photos, he really was witty, you wouldn't needed to be easily insulted mind you.

Cindermom,

I'm not supposed to be on this forum anymore, but I just couldn't resist! Defining Universal moment was riding Jaws with my son who is a huge fan of all those movies! The look on his face was priceless. Everyone says it's a cheezy ride and in some ways they are right, but , come on, it's Universal and it's JAWS. Even when we went back this year it's still a winner for us, not the best, but a keeper.DADADADADA...(supposed to be the song)

Mine has to be the pre-show in Shrek 3D, when my husband got a little caught up in the moment and temporarily thought he was the gingerbread man. A few well timed "gingy" comments such as "you're a monster" and "eat me" had the audience in hysterics, and the Universal staff member shaking his head.... it was awesome!!!!

It was the Barney show.

We were there in October of 2005 and my oldest son of 10 just hated the thought to go see Barney but my youngest son of two (at that time) was estatic. Before leaving the resort I put a paper in his pocket with his name and our phonenumber and for him to leave the paper inside his pocket I told him it was a note for Barney.

I thought he forgot the whole issue till the show started and he started to sing and dance ( we were in the first row) and suddenly he looked at me, pulled the paper out of his pocket and screamed Barney Barney my mom wrote you a note!!!!!!

Thank God the music was so hard that nobody heard him.

My oldest son thought he was going to die of embarassement!!

speaking of ET, my family members and I gave the attendant our names as if we were the Beatles. It was kinda fun to hear ET say John, Paul, George and Ringo.
