This might sound like a girlie question to some of the alpha males on here but what places (if any) generated a lump in your throat?

For me (and prob running in 3rd place) would be Illuminations at Epcot. There was just something about the co-ordination of music and fireworks that spoke of a greater community and seemed to signal the 'click' in my head that this was what Disney was all about.

Second place would be the Imax film Magnificent Desolation at Kennedy Space Centre. I find that stuff fascinating and the part in the film where the astronaut talks about leaving a photo of his family on the moon along with the background music made a real connection.

The best one though was the Blue Horizons show at SeaWorld. It was the first show we'd seen at SeaWorld and I'd probably gone in a little moody at being under whelmed by Kraken and also the thoughts on performing animals etc.

All these thoughts were swept aside when the show started. There was a real beauty in the movements of the performers, the tricks of the dolphins and whales and a possibly sentimental but definitely heart tugging soundtrack.

I'm not afraid to say that as the finale built to a crescendo of music and spectacle I was truly moved and found myself welling up. I didn't cry but it really got to me and I felt ashamed that I'd entered the auditorium being a little moody.

It really was for me a magical and emotional show and my delight at it so overwhelming that I had to see another performance and even buy the CD soundtrack which I accidentally, but thankfully, stumbled across in the SeaWorld airport shop. Needless to say it was the best show that I saw in Florida.

Mine was when we went to discovery cove which we had told the kids we couldn't afford to do. The whole day was brilliant and the photo of my daughter kissing the dolphin brings a lump to my throat every time I look at it. I've put it on here along with my review.

Also when you first walk down main street and you see the castle. I don't think it matters how many times you visit Orlando, you still get that feeling.

I can't listen to jiminy cricket and when you wish upon a star while standing in front of the castle for nightly fireworks without getting a lump in my throat

I never really had one affect me emotionally, and I've been maybe 8 or 9 times. But this morning, after walking into MK for my 6 yr old grandson's 1st visit, the very first show at the Castle caught his eye. Dreams Can Come True, I think it's called. The look on his face, as he was sitting on his step-dad's shoulders, looking first at the stage, then to his Mom, and chanting along with Mickey "Dreams CAN come true! Dreams CAN come true!" was priceless. Then he turned to Mom and said "They really can because we're here!" OK, Nana was a bit teary. And "girly" ;-)

Nothing compares, imho,to seeing a kids face at their first full view of the castle,as Willow stated before me.Tink flying from the castle at the start of Wishes is also a great moment.Lion King at AK was amazing,as was Sourin at Epcot. But now that I have been home for a week, the things that stand out most for me as "Disney Moments",are little things like just sitting in France and having desert with my family,or watching my daughter while she being swept away by the whole experience.

The first time I saw Spectromagic, I got teary eyed.

Also, there was the "Michael Ovitz Story". OK, I don't think it ever was filmed. But I'm sure if it had been, the scene where Disney gave him his $130 million severance package would have been very emotional for me to watch.
