Stick with Virgin! TCD are nowhere near as good as Virgin. They have no back of seat entertainment and the seats are more crampped. I found that it was a l o n g, l o n g jouney when I went the once ! Thomas Cook wasnt too bad either !

Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha.......Here we go again.

Please don't ask to compare a wonderful and popular chartered airline with a world leading trans-atlantic schedule airline.

Its like comparing a Trabant with a Rolls Royce.

My family of 4 travelled to Orlando with TCD in April. I have no complaints whatsoever.Last year we flew to Orlando with Virgin and we were left waiting on the runway while they had to get a new part for 5 hours. I honestly could not say travelling with Virgin was any better, the flight attendants on TCD flight were helpful drinks were always available when needed and we had seat back tvs.Unless you upgrade your flight I think all airlines are pretty much the same I have travelled to Orlando on numerous occasions using different airlines and not a lot of difference between any of them .unfortunately some people may encounter certain problems with any airline like I did last year with Virgin as long as you get there safely I could not give a damn who the carrier is if I have found a good price .

I have never actually travelled with TCD while under the current regime and I do not think I actually ever will. There are many posters on here who actually love TCD and their LOW prices. These are well travelled experienced Orlandofiles and I would actually trust their judgement. However I have difficulty in this constant comparison with Virgin.

I actually travel to the States and the Caribbean with BMI out of Manchester and I have only once actually had cause to complain and they made it right straight away - I believe they are an excellent Airline but nobody actually says much about them on here!

Travel City ok until you have a problem. have been with them a few times. This time we were robbed. The villa we were stayiing in was "executive" home. It did not have Burglar Bars which are standard on most villas. It did not have working pool alarms, which is a legal requirement. When we pointed this out they have denied that there were no burglar bars!!!!!!!!!!!! and said that the law was ambiguous and that the alarms didn't need to be connected and that parents are responsible for their childrens safety. Blatent disregard for customer safety and security. NEVER AGAIN!

Stick with Virgin, after flying with TCD in July, my husband said he now knew what it felt like to be a battery hen! I think you can get the picture!!

Not been with TCD - only Virgin, but if i could get a similar price with Virgin as i could TCD, i would go Virgin, because, they fly direct in Orlando, quicker to get to accommodation, after a 9 hour flight, the shorter the transfer the better, especially when you are driving yourself on the "other" side of the road. Also the baggage allowance, with Virgin its more than double what TCD's allowance is.

Not entirly true Dawn. 1 you are unlikely to get Virgin seats and a car for anywhere near TDC Price.

TDC seats, car, with full cover insurancean fuel, and 40 Kg luggage about the same price a Virgin seat only.

And they to fly Directly to Orlando and do it from other airports other them Manchester and Gatwick.

That is if you make same day comparisons.
