I was sitting thinking about my upcoming holiday in February (ages away I know) but I was thinking, when I come back from a trip to Orlando I wish I had done more things or appreciated it more, rather than running from one activity to the next not really taking it in. One thing I wish I had done on my last trip was relax in our villa more and take in a little more what is going on about me. We don't have the culture here that the Americans do and I think its great shopping at 10pm and being enthusiastic about most things.

What are your regrets when you come back or dont you have any?

Having just returned I wish I had gone back to see Fantasmic. I went when there was standing room only and being 5 ft tall didn't have a good view. I also wish I would have got the jumper from Ralph Lauren which I couldn't decide on Lol.Never mind looking into booking again next year so hopefully I'll get to do these things again.

My main regret is coming back, lol!

I would love to book 3 weeks instead of 2, but it would take nearly all of my holiday i have from work, also I regret not going to the Florida mall last year and getting a job lot of make-up from Safora there!

I regret not being able to stay there longer (we were only there six days) and not being able to afford to go again, at least not for now! One day......!

Hi UKDisneyfan,

I was the same last year, it was my first time to the States and so I made sure to pack loads of activities in that I was so busy I didn't really take it all in and enjoy it as I should of everything seemed very surreal. This year I'm also having 12 days in St Bete beach so that should be plenty of time to relax and enjoy myself!

Also because I was that busy taking photos of everything I forgot to get in the photos myself so had hardly any of me or my partner! lol.

Hi, I think like you have said, we seem to rush around trying to fit everything in and dont notice whats going on around us..

My one regret is not being comfortable with the driving and I feel that we miss out on so much. I would love to go the Florida Keys etc but I just cant get my nerves to cope with the driving..My OH cant drive so it is all left to me..

So that is my one regret..

On the flight home..we usually regret not booking Premium Economy for that little extra legroom and quiet!!!

and if we fly from Gatwick..we regret this as have a nightmare journey back up to Nottingham!!!..it can take us 5 hours from airport..to pick up car..to get home!!!

But apart from that..we have fantastic memories and look forward to booking for next year!!!

Oh..and we are going to try to upgrade to PE on the way home this time!!..and only have to get back from Manchester!!!

I wish I had visted a Disney park and also eaten at Cafe TuTu Tango, but not doing these things last time means that I have an excellent excuse to go back!

UKDisneyfan,

this is a good post that will remind those who pack too much in, not to do it.

I always recommend plenty of rest and down time. IMHO, there should be as many rest days as park days, but I can't get any of the newbies to go along lol.
