Hi have always fancied a balloon ride in Orlando, Have checked out a few companies and would like to know if any of you think it is worth a go. Thanks in advance, Alan.
I think that is a personal decision and dependent on your interests and budget.
I would think that on a clear day, the view could be spectacular.
"have always fancied a Balloon Ride "
Well for goodness sake, go for it :)
I would highly recomend Orlando Balloon Adventures 877..475..9386
could always do the one at DTD as a taster
We did this with Orlando Balloon Adventures last year for my wife's 50th birthday and absolutely loved it. They are a smaller company and the balloons only held four people plus two crew which was good. It's an early start and you float over the south side of 192 from Poinciana Boulevard towards the I-4 and Celebration. Very professionally done and would do it again.
Hi, yes go for it !!
I have flown twice with Orlando Balloon Rides, both times were fantastic. The rest of my family did not wish to fly so followed with the chase crew.
Have a great time :)
Thanks everyone, will hopefully be flying over orlando in three weeks :)
HI Alan, it may be worth joining groupon for Orlando as the company recommended above often have offers on there, for a good reduced price. Also book it early in your holiday as if the flight has to be cancelled for any reason, weather etc, you have plenty of time to re schedule!
Look forward to hearing all about it!
Thanks LoveUSofA for that tip, any savings always appreciated, I will post all the details on our return :)
We also used Orlando Balloon Rides and loved every second of it!!!
We're going again in May, as we were lucky to get the Groupon rate again!!! :)
I often wonder why people are attracted to this entertainment in Orlando. Is it Boredom?
The landscape is pretty flat & featureless . When you have flown 4.000 miles the last 200 over Florida hardly ever gets a passing glance. Now if this ride was over Greenland where we flew this time and saw the pack ice. massive icebergs, mountains and glaciers running down to the sea. Spectacular views. Or over the Grand Canyon, or low over the Serengeti plains wildlife watching I could understand people taking the trip . But Over Disney? or the South Orlando area, a green desert with lots of ponds?
No' not worth it..
