We'll be making our own sandwiches and
bringing them in our soft sided cooler on our next visit...
Other than at AK, juice boxes are fine (those darn straws, lol)
We freeze them and pop then in our little cooler bag
and they keep our cold cut sammies cool and safe until lunch time.
I'd also consider taking a pasta salad, a PB&J sandwich, or even
cold, leftover fried chicken as an alternative for some variety.
Wraps are always good too... :)
fresh washed grapes, cold or frozen even are a good treat, and healthy.
You know what else is great in a little cooler (anywhere but AK) ???
freezer pops! SO good on a hot day.
We took a bunch to a family gathering at a park yesterday and
from 9 am to 3 pm they were still pretty frozen.
The more we opened the cooler, the more they defrosted...
No worries if they melt, just re-freeze them when you get back to your suite.
Take along a small nail scissors to open them with
and enjoy the sweet, frosty goodness! :)
