I'll be in Chicago September 5-9 visiting a friend who is a resident in the Printer's Row area. I have been to Chicago before and went to the larger museums/attractions - Field, Art Institute, Shedd, etc. This time I'd like to try visiting some museums tourists don't generally get to.
I've already got the Museum of Contemporary Art and the Garfield Park Conservatory on my list. What other museums/attractions would you recommend? I'm in my mid-20s and don't mind traveling via the el/bus. I'm definitely a "museum person" (I work at one), so I generally enjoy museums/attractions of all types. I won't have any children with me, so I'd prefer not to visit places that cater to kids.
Also, are the Bridge Museum and Chicago History Museum worth a visit? Thanks for any help!
