The 2 towns are only 10 minutes apart. use to extra money to buy me a present.
thanks - I like saving money, so will go with the less expensive one and I'll buy you a drink if you are in town in early June
I might just drive up with you. Seriously, both towns are very nice. I would say Edgartown is a little "snobbier" hence the greater expense. OB is lots of fun from the carousel to the "cottages". You will have a great time no matter what.
If you are bike riders, it is worth bringing your bikes. Great paths.Edited: 29 December 2010, 23:53
I live on Marthas Vineyard year round - both towns are great and very different. I would select the less expensive rental in OB and just drive to the various towns to check them out - enjoy, its a beautiful island !
Thanks we did rent the less expensive home- both were very nice and we can spend the extra money for lots of fun things. We are really looking forward to it. Now all we have to worry about is the weather (2nd week in June-) but none of us except the kids are beach people. Wish us luck.
we have been there in early june. had rain, sun, decent weather! MV is so magical it truly doesnt matter..to us that is....make sure you enjoy a lobster dinner at larsens! you wont be dissapointed. just go at sunset and waalaaa...you have a completely perfect evening...
The weather can go either way in early June, but we were there at that time last year and it was beautiful. Sunny, warm and without the crowds.
