 Criss Angel Believe

We were wanting to purchase tickets for Criss Angel's show Believe. Does anyone know what seats are the better seats? I see some people saying that the further back seats were better in some of the other Cirque shows. Is this also true for the Criss Angel show?

Also, would it be better to purchase our tickets online now or would we get a better deal if we wait until we get there in August?

Thank you for any input.

Destination Expert   What's this?
for Fort Lauderdale

Maybe you should read the reviews first- there are 209 , almost all calling it complete garbage-even from most raid fans who feel com pletely cheated- not to mention countless Forum posts ( one a few posts below this ) saying likewise

Out in the casino would be the better seats.

My understanding is that the seat you're in now would be better than front row center.

My suggestion would be to buy them at Tix4Tonight. They're currently listed at 40% off on their "sneak peak" on their website (link below). Something tells me they won't sell out...

Hi,

Yes, I read all the reviews for BeLIEve because we wanted to go in Oct/08. The reviews were terrible and we didn't go. This isn't really a "Cirque" show, more of a collaboration with a huge ego.

My first Cirque du Soleil show was in Vancouver, BC. They had me at "bonjour". It's like being in a dream. The costumes, makeup, acrobatics and music are all so vivid and spectacular. Here are my suggestions:

For a more authentic Cirque show, see Mystere; for a show with an added element (water) see "O"; for more of a storyline go to Ka; for the sensual side of life explore Zumanity; if you love Beatles music go see LOVE.

I hear they are planning another show in City Centre which revolves around Elvis. As long as they don't ask Criss Angel to star, I'm THERE!

Save your money. IT IS THE WORST SHOW EVER. If you are looking for a MINDFREAK type show that he did on television you will be sorely disappointed. I saw it as I had comped tickets. I would never go back. If you are looking to sleep for 90 minutes then go. DO NOT SPEND YOUR MONEY ON BELieVE. Even with free tickets I was looking for a refund. There are all kinds of discount tickets for the show. The theatre will be half empty. JUST PLAIN GARBAGE. It does not work with a Cirque theme whatsoever.

I went to the show last year during one of the first opening weeks. Maybe they were getting the kinks out still but I would suggest you spend your hard earned cash on another show. We sat in the upper middle section and the view was great. Good enough even to see him pass through trap doors on the floor, etc. I'm a big Criss Angel fan but I have to say he show have stuck to his street and tv illusions.

for the most part, if the reviews don't scare you off from seeing the show, do like Bink suggested, get your tix from the discount ticket booths.

i think a lot of tickets were also being given free from the timeshare marketers there at Luxor. but that's definitely not the way to get 'em either.

get the least expensive tickets you can, anywhere in the theater is fine for viewing the stage. there's only one overhead stunt and if you're more towards the back section, its easier to see.

of the relatively few people TA forum posters who have seen the show, i'm in the 5% or so that did enjoy it. mind you, i don't think it was perfect, not even spectacular, but i did enjoy it.

its probably the least "cirque-y" of all the LV shows, and CA <does not> perform any of the "street magic" illusions he's known for on MF. the illusions he does, there's only 6 or so, are takes on traditional stage magic tricks. the CDS production doesn't have nearly as much emphasis on acrobatics, its a lot more dance. the decor and theme are more dark and "goth-y". and there's a 5 minute MF "comercial" at the begining of the show to show you who CA is and what kinda tricks/stunts/illusions he <won't> be doing in the show.
