Easy Lessons -Are there Tutorials for Gambling ? |
|
OK I know this may be really stupid but I have never gambled I find the whole thing really scary,I understand the slots I think you put your money in and pull the handle BlackJack the first to get to 21 without going over? If you have to bet even $5 and you dont know what what your doing its not much fun I suppose we can watch and then pick up the courage to try But if anyone knows a better way that would help Thanks |

My husband taught himself to play (and win at) blackjack at this site: It's free, of course. They have an online coach, and if you play dozens and dozens and dozens of hours before you to to Las Vegas, you will probably do okay. When we go to LV, he plays video blackjack, not at the tables. He likes the quicker pace, and doesn't like the idea of sitting next to "some braying joker with a cigarette in his mouth." Not all casinos have video blackjack: MGM Grand, Paris, Flamingo has a few, Caesar's (Bob doesn't like them), Hard Rock Cafe, and Bellagio. There may be others, but there are a lot of casinos we won't go into. Some are specifically blackjack, and others are multi-game machines.

If you know nothing about BJ and want to play, get a strategy cheat sheet. All strategies basically play off the dealers show card. To complicated to get into here, but there is a tone of info on the web

They have all kinds of books you can buy that show and tell you step by step how to gamble and what games give you better odds. Example do not play Roulette because you are just guessing what number the ball will land on which are not good. Poker is your best game because your odds are equal to the house (the hotel) So you have an 50% chance of winning. Check your local book store or practice online. good luck

Playing good Black Jack is an art and it requires regoruos training in card counting and customizing your basic startegy play according to the running count. However, Casinos do not like card counters though it is not illigal ! Few quick tips : 1) Choose the least possible number of decks (fewer the decks, more the advantage) 2) Get to know a simple card counting strategy (from web) 3) Get a basic startegy card from a casino gift shop and ask the dealer whether you can use it on the table. Most of the casinos allow them (I have seen people playing with the startegy card in most of the downtwon casinos) 4) Do not use progressive betting. Rather use the running count to decide the betting amount. 5) Download a BJ simulator from net and play for sometime before you hit casino. 6) If you want more action for the same amount of money head downtown. Table mins are generally $3 compared to $5 in strip casinos.
