Blue Bay Forum: Shandrani resort early morning planes

Hi

We are looking at going to Mauritius in May, having spent ages looking for a hotel we really like what the Shandrani has to offer.

I realise it is very close to the airport and I don't think I would mind seeing the planes in the day time but I am just a bit worried about noise in the mornings. Can anyone who has stayed at the Shandrani advise if you can hear the planes when inside the hotel rooms and if the planes would wake you in the mornings.

Also we would like to walk with lions at Casela during our stay does anyone know how long it would take to get from blue bay to Casela
