Daintree

Hi!

Would like some advice on Cape Trib and Daintree! Will be going there with family next August and was just wondering how much time we would need to do the place justice? There seems to be heaps to do there like guided walks, horseback riding, seeing the reef and possibly stopping by Mossman gorge! Do not want to rush so I thought maybe 5 days would be addequate...

Grateful for any advice or suggestions!

I think at least 7 days here will be ok but depends on how you like the place. If you did everything available then you would need a lot longer. You definitely need a vehicle to expand your choice and dont be afraid to ask your accommodation for suggestions and info. They will have all the up to date and inside info on what to do and where to go.

5 to 7 days should give you a good chance to really get into what The Daintree has to offer. Just be advised that August is peak season for our region so if you want to partake in some of the more popular activities you probably should book in advance. Jungle Surfing for example. Also depending on the size of your family, it may pay to book accommodation sooner rather than later. There are a couple of options in Daintree Village that have reasonable priced accommodation for families. Crocodile Express also has multi day Family Daintree River Cruise passes which are excellent value if you're in the area for a few days.
