July, 2006 - I have a bias toward California Mexican food, so I wasn’t expecting anything great. The menu is extensive – everything seems to be homemade, even the tortillas. The tortilla chips and salsas were great, especially the one made with avocado. The stuffed avocado sounded awful but we had to try it and it was fantastic – you must try it - you can get it stuffed with chicken, steak or shrimp. I had it with shrimp – it was fantastic. It came with a fish taco and a cup of tortilla soup. All were great. The tamales were also excellent. Our waitress was obviously busy but was very pleasant and attentive. We left with a newfound appreciation for Tex-Mex and thrilled with our lunch. The portions were large, the prices low & the food really good. I definitely recommend this restaurant.
