My mother and I stayed at the Inn at Little Washington three years ago. We stayed there two nights and our room was fabulous. It was in the front of the hotel above the lobby so we were a bit worried about the possibility of noise. No worries there. We couldn't hear the activity in the lobby. The room was painted and wallpapered in a Victorian Asian theme (think the Royal Pavillion in Brighton, England). Really elaborate! Lots of comfy pillows and lovely bedding.

We had dinner one night and it was awesome. Wonderful, wonderful, wonderful! We had tea in the afternoons and breakfasts in the morning (delicious!). The waiter asked us if we would like to tour the kitchen after dinner. What a fun treat! We also met one of the owners and one of his beautiful dalmations in the afternoon.

It was quite a special few days there. Not much to do in the tiny town but there are some lovely, historical towns within driving distance.

We stayed during a weeknight which is a bit less expensive than the weekend. Pricey but worth it. Enjoy this special treat!
