i dont no how may times you come here but after a couples dollars for a soda you would think it would be ok for a 3rd on with no tip but try it you want see them again.

These girls work for very very little pay....and they work very hard, I have been told thise FREE drink cost the servers...so lets give them a little tip..

FOr heaven sakes people - the drinks are free - you are putting lots of money in the machines (which aren't doing anyuthing for you most of the time) ... at the very least you could tip a quarter or a least the eqivalent of the slot type you are playing if it is more than a quater machine .... if you can't afford that, you should't be gambling anyway.

Those ladies work hard for the money!!!!

(and on an associated note - this is one of the things I HATE about the "ticket" machines instead of using coins ... it does make tipping more inconvenient --- but that is not the waitresses fault - so don't stiff them!)

WOW ! I just came upon this forum while browsing some TA posts . I post on the Atlantic City site ( and to a lesser degree the Newport RI forum) .

We on the AC forum are in agreement that a $1 per drink tip is the normal tip for a cocktail waitress in AC (or Vegas) . A bit more if you have a special request , or she brings your drink as you hit a sizable payout .

In AC and Vegas the drinks at the slots are free .

I have heard some people say that a 50 cent tip is acceptable if you take a cup of soda that the waitresses sometimes bring around while taking drink orders .

I always bring a fistfull of singles with me when I head down to AC to make tipping easier .
