We go to Charles Town Races and Casino every couple of years. Just returned from our latest trip two days ago. We have researched all of the motels on Hwy 340, and rejected all of them. We prefer the Comfort Suites on Hwy 9 at Short Street, about 9 miles from the race track.

Comfort Suites is extremely clean, comfortable, quiet. Excellent breakfast. We booked at $84.99, using the "Little League" plan. This plan is available to anyone. We will stay there the next time, too!

Has anyone stayed at the Turf Motel in Charles Town and is it at least clean, I am having trouble, it seems all of the motels and even the chains are coming up with very bad review. We are leaving Thursday August l0 so I really need to know, what else is in town and and if they are at least clean. They don't have to be the RITZ. Thanks for any help.

Why not reserve one night at the Turf, and the rest of your trip at the Comfort Suites. If you like the Turf, stay there and cancel Comfort Suites. But if it is as everyone says it is, then you have the Comfort Suites for a bail out.

We stayed at the Knights Inn 5/25/06 and didn't find it so bad at all. Convenient to casino. Nice restaurant next door.

We are looking for a place also in Charles Town, close to the casino for an overnighter. We will have our teen daughter, but want her to have a good t.v., movies, video game, etc.... any suggestions?

We stayed at the Towne House Motor Lodge in Sept. 2006. In the middle of the night we heard a rush of water. The shower in the room above us emptied into our sink and water flooded the room. The same think happened when the shower above us was used at 6:00 in the morning. Management gave us another room in the morning so we could brush our teeth etc., but that hardly made up for the water, stress and SMELL! Don't stay there

Researched area. Couldn't find anything nice. Stayed at Hampton Inn in Innwood, about 15 minutes away. Convienent to 81. Clean. Comfortable. Nice rooms. Good staff. Many places to eat close by.

If they have aroom, stay at the Carriage Inn B&B. Wonderful hosts running a comfortable and historic B&B. Just stayed there and would recommend to anyone.
