I read the reviews on TA, but wonder where locals would stay if they were to stay in Springfield for under 100.00 a night? We need two beds. I wonder if anyone has used priceline or hotwire to get a motel and been satisfied with the results in Springfield? Our plans are to see the usual tourist attractions at the end of May. Thank you for your assistance

Thank you Dave for your help. Is this hotel clean and how are the beds? We want something CLEAN. Are there any others who have stayed in a hotel in Springfield?

We stayed at the Drury Suites. It was under $100.00 night and we got breakfast and nighttime cocktails and snacks. Clean and nice. I highly recommend.

Hello,

Last summer we spent two nights at the Hampton Inn on Dirksen off the freeway. About $88/night with two beds very nice. New bedding and very clean. Nice place and we booked again for this summer. My sister has stayed there in the past, as well and enjoyed it.

When I go back to visit friends in Springfield I usually stay at the State House Inn. I really like that hotel and the location is great. The Hilton is nice too. I have never paid more than $100 either. If you can't get either of those hotels for under $100 than you might try some of the chains on the outskirts of the city. The State House and Hilton are close to some of the sites and the downtown area which makes them a great spot to stay. I have never used priceline in Springfield though.

The Drury Inn is nice, clean and in your range. The Hampton Inn across the street had a small fire a couple of days ago, so I'm not sure of the state of it this instant. The Comfort Inn on Veteren's Parkway is on the far west side of Springfield, but was completely redone a few months back after taking a bad hit by a tornado in March of 06. They reopened in December, and I saw all new bedding delivered.

Get reservations. While the legislature is in session, many hotels are booked solid.

In September, I got the President Abraham Lincoln hotel on Priceline for $49 and was pleased with it....
