The Central Jazz Station was still open when I was back in Springfield earlier this year. It is still listed on the hilton web site. The bartender told me the business went way down with the smoking ban because unlike other bars, being on the 30th floor makes it tough for smokers to go outside and light up. They had live music but I am not sure if its always jazz. I thought they had other types every now and again. I always enjoy the jazz bar and you can't beat the view especially for a sunset. I haven't eaten at Capisce in a long time and for the same reason you stated, didn't think it all that great. I was a big fan of Gumbo ya yas and hated to see it go.
