Cliff Walk Access |
|
If I do not plan on going to see the Breakers (I'm going to just do the Cliff Walk), can I still park in the Breakers parking lot to reach the Cliff Walk? Is the Cliff Walk reachable this way?
Thanks.

Yes there is an access point there at the Breakers at Sheppard Ave...there are also other areas that have access....Webster St., Ruggles Ave., Marine Ave., Ledge Rd etc.... check out: for some maps

But can I park at the Breakers parking lot just to get access to the Cliff Walk or is the parking lot/access to the Cliff Walk from the Breakers only reserved for mansion visitors?

You could get away with parking in the Breakers lot but you're going to have to do some explaining to the security guard that stands in the middle of Ochre Point waiting toi escort you accross the street and through the main gates of the Breakers.... You'll have to be pretty savy to somehow slither away from the crowd and exit to your right... not worth it if you ask me. Just keep your car in the hotel parking lot and take the little shuttle that runs around town all day... Or, depending on the time of day and time of year (classes in session), find some parking around Salve University...
|
Check out some of the other road access points I mentioned....there is some parking there as well. You should be able to park at the Breakers lot and if anybody asks, just tell them you have tickets for a later tour....I don't think they'll care, but there are other parking options that I mentioned depending on when you are going.

Also, many people park at one mansion and walk between the tours, so it's not like the crossing guy will be so shocked, he'll probably just think you'll be ending your day there.
|
It is all a matter of timing. On a summer day there will be someone to monitor who parks at the breakers lot. Less busy days there is no one there. The Salve Regina parking is typically free in the summer/weekends

Just park on the street at the different entrances there's always plenty of parking.
