Need recommendation for hotel in Culebra or Vieques |
|
We are going to PR from May 31 to Jun 4. I come to San Juan at least 2 times a year but I have never been to Culebra or Vieques. I plan to spend the whole 5 days at only 1 island and not go island hopping. First of all, which island would be the best for 5 days and where should we stay on either island. The max I would like to spend is $150/day for a hotel or a parador. Thanks, everyone for your help Report as inappropriate |

There is more to do on Vieques and though Flamenco on Culebra is a beautiful beach, we also have dozens of gorgeous beaches. Bio Bay is a huge reason to chose Vieques. We also have a good variety of places to eat from fun food stands to casual but fine dining. You have a good selection of very nice places to stay in your budget, Hacienda Tamarindo ( very pretty and walk to Island adventures for Bio Bay trip),Bravos Beach Hotel (not really beachy but waterfront with a great restaraunt),La Lanchita (fantastic views ), Acacia in Esperanza and you can also renta a studio or small appartment, some allow five day stays. Check out enchanted-isle.com for all the contact info. Report as inappropriate

I just got back from Culebra last week. It was beautiful! And the beaches are fantastic, especially if you love snorkeling as I do. We stayed at Tamarindo Estates, which is a vacation rental property consisting of cottages on a reserve, secluded, with access just down the hill to a great snorkeling beach and 5 min drive or less from Flamenco Beach, which is just one of the prettiest beaches I have ever seen. The coral reef at Tamarindo is alive with color and variety, unlike alot of the ones I have seen in recent years that seem to be slowly dying. The island reminds me of St Thomas, just not so touristy. The little town is quite charming, there are a few gift shops and restarunts, but quite accessible because the island is only about 4 mi by 5 mi wide. Jerry's Jeeps was great to rent a vehicle from! I don't know about Vieques, but I loved Culebra and can't wait to go back! The rate at Tamarindo was 160/nt for us (2 adults and 1 child under 17), but the regular rate for 2 for this time of year is 140/nt. Great view, secluded, beach access, and nice cottage with swimming pool and beach house access; it couldn't have been any better! Report as inappropriate
