Just returned home, bah! After 14nights in Cinco Plaza. The accommodation was around the main & childrens pool area which was good after the 9 o'clock rush for sunloungers. Apartments are very clean, towels changed every 2 days, accommodation comprised of a 1 bed apartment with large living room & shower, no bath but that never bothered us & plenty of hot water. Bedroom was situated at the rear of apartment which overlooked part of the kids club & which also had the pathway to the other 2 pool areas of the complex which, especially on a hot night & the window open, leads to peace being broken with families passing & yelling at each other & laughing in the early hours of the night. The room had a TV with limited channels, BBC1 Ulster being one of them, if you wanted the full package this cost 18euros a week, 15euros p.w. for extra fan & 15euros pw for safety box all with a 5euro deposit, returnable when you leave. The food served looked OK, we only ever had a breakfast & that was good but better was to be had at the many Irish owned bars, 'BOTTLES BAR' being the best. The complext was, at a guess, very popular with our Irish cousins as it must have been 90% Irish on site. There was a load of kids there, don't know when the school holidays are! But some of the parents need to be taken aside & given a few parental lessons, like the couple who had just arrived with their 2 kids to ask the Thomson reps where the kids go in which club? The rep mentioned that that days club was full & if they could call in tomorrow. The shock these 2 got was comical...They wanted to leave the kids with the reps while they went to the beach for the day...Rather embarrassing to say the least, why have kids? Anyway, rant over. If you have kids then the reps were absolutely marvelous keeping the kids entertained & the parents amused with the way they treat the kids, a credit to all those & I never had any kids with me. Overall, a great location, a bit of a hill to navigate but good exercise leading to a good drink & tasty food that never did anyone any harm. Hic!! Apart from some noisey revellers coming back in the early hours & only thinking of themselves it was a good stay, would I stay again? Without kids NO. I'm sure you would all have a good holiday in this well run, very pleasently staffed location....ENJOY!!
