Now we realise that 'all inclusive' is basically closing lots of self-catering hotels but we've also read on a forum that if you go SC the food is very expensive to buy. Somebody quoted 3 euro's for a loaf. So the question is I guess is will we get more value for our money if we go AI? We do tend to eat out a lot but will stay in the odd night so our kids can catch up a bit on their sleep.
Rambling extra bit now:
Our son has Attention Deficit Disorder and last year on our first AI (in Turkey) we found it difficult to find foods he liked though he did try new things. This year we went away for 4 days and he 'hated' eating in resturants every night. We think when we went AI he saw it like eating at home or in the school dinner hall i.e. it's just the place you go for food.
We have been to Rhodes a few years ago and stayed at the Kassandra Apartments in Trianda and had a fab time. This is why we want to come back to Rhodes.
However another down side is must of the package holiday sites we are looking at have night flights and we said we wouldn't do that with the kids again.
So there you go...thank you if you have stayed with my ramble this long.
