I just want to thank everyone for their help over the last few weeks regarding my research into trip to Lapland. The help and feedback on here is excellent.

I've just booked for next year-4 nights at Rieklonnen. We wanted a 1 bed apartment but a 2 bed was only £38 more so went for that. It was a hard choice between that and Tunturi but Rieklonnen was cheaper so went for that.

So excited even though its 12 months away!

Happy holidays to all going this year!!!

Anne, I'm happy for you! I'll be going somewhere warm first, and then might make a short trip to Lapland later this winter... need to absorb some heat first before going there ;)

btw the name of your hotel translates to Castle of the Willow Grouse

have a look at http://www.lapland.fruitbandit.com for everything you need to know about what to wear

also, just remember kids grow and what may fit them now, certainly wont in dec next year - if you want to be savvy with it, wait until the end of the ski season and then start buying from ebay as there will be loads of deals on new and second hand clothing on there

It will be worth it though. It's the most amazing place ever. We are having the best holiday ever! The more research you do the better it pays off believe me.
