Is it worth even thinking about trying to cram this is to a three night break?
What time of year are you going? Do you know how close your accommodation is to Zero Point (where you hire the ski equip).
personally I would say no, there is so much other things to do in your three days that learning to ski is just (IMO) going to be a waste of time and money - do the whole lapland thing which is something you cant get anywhere else, where you can get skiing all over the world
go sledging at point zero slope in the evening, its great fun :)
Hello
going to Levi Hotel Sokos
suspect poe is right,............. there'll be enough to do
thanks
thanks Poe. getting a bit carried away!
that hotel is right in the middle of levi so ideally placed for sledging :)
not sure what activities you are doing but the snowmobiling is IMO the best - we did a lovely trip with the kids in levi and loved it so much that we went on a 3 hour trip, right out in to the middle of nowhere
the huskies are a must too, they are fast
reindeer I wouldn't do again as once was enough, it was slow but stunning as we went late in the afternoon so it was dark and it was snowing, it was like being in Narnia - the children loved it
you are going to have a lovely time, it really is magical there
also if the trees have lots of snow on them then do some tree pushing :)
Hi, we went on a three day trip to Levi last year and loved it so much we have booked to back this year for a week! We had a skiing lesson and skied for an hour or so afterwards which was great, so I would recommend skiing if you have time. We also did the husky and reindeer rides and snowmobiles which were amazing. There is so much to do whatever you choose you will have a lovely time...enjoy!
Thank you. Did you book the skiing and trips when there?
Where did you stay and who did you
go with? Really good to hear of your experiences hope you don't mind cross questioning.... Would be interesting to know how you're approaching it this time.
Hi, We went with Inghams last year and again this year. Last year we pre-booked a ski taster lesson for 2 adults and 2 children which was around £45 per person if I remember correctly! we had a one and a half hour lesson then stayed on the slopes for an extra hour or two which was great - we had never been skiing before and thoroughly enjoyed it and can't wait to do it again.
This year I think we will book the skiing ourselves through Zero Point, we are aiming to ski for about 3 hours a day on 3 separate days, the hire of the equipment is about 25 euros per person which we think is quite good value and easier than carrying all of the equipment back to our cabin each day. The ski lifts were also free of charge on the beginner slope at Kids land.
We booked our husky & reindeer rides and snowmobiles through Inghams, which were excellent and very well organised and seem to be pretty good value for money too.
Also, if you look on the Levi tourist information site you will find loads more information on just about everything!!!
thanks again for this. am a bit overwhlemed with it all at the mo so appreciate your posts.
thanks Poe. a week to go now. any tips for who to book trips with?
thanks again
